Big Little Travels is our little corner of the internet where we share our UK (little) travels and our international (bigger) adventures.
Who Are We?
Big Little Travels is headed up by husband and wife duo Jason and Laura. Based in Birmingham in the UK, they are located pretty much slap bang in the middle of England – meaning they have a great base to explore the UK from.
Laura is a primary school teacher (and yes the 13 weeks holidays are ideal for travelling) and mother to two beautiful girls who also share their parents’ love of the natural beauty of the British Isles.
Jason is a full time blogger and digital marketer, who only needs an internet connection to work – again, a pretty flexible role that allows him to travel both in the UK and worldwide pretty extensively.
During the Covid years both Jason and Laura (who both hit age 40 during lockdown) made a pact to waste no time in travelling to new places once the world re-opened – and documenting it here on Big Little Travels is an attempt to inspire others to do the same.
Between them, they have travelled to 5 of the 7 continents – with just Australia and Antartica still to discover… and Laura lived in Brazil for a year volunteering in a home for homeless children just before the couple met.
Travel has been a large part of their life since they met over 15 years ago – and they hope you enjoy sharing in their adventures, past and present, here on Big Little Travels.
What We Write About
Big Little Travels is mainly focused on UK travel destinations – with a big focus on the west coast of the UK – with Cornwall and Wales being high on the agenda.
As they are city dwellers by heart, you will also find city guides to many of the big cities and towns across the UK, often sharing their favourite spots or things to do.
They love rural escapes such as tree house experiences and cosy cottages in winter and autumn, so expect to find information on trips like this too.
